Under the Knife

As I type this, Tyler is undergoing the first round of reconstructive surgery. The doctors are removing the third-degree burns and will be using healthy skin from his legs as skin grafts. Another operation tomorrow will complete the process. So he's going to be quite out of it all week.

Stark contrast to what he was like between his arrival and pre-op: keeping the staff on their toes and even telling them what to do! That's the Tyler I know. He's got an amazing memory retention as well so he certainly remembers just about everything. Maybe with his history of being accident-prone he can turn that into a medical career.

Right now keep Tyler in your thoughts and prayers. He's now entering the most difficult stage of his treatment. Once he gets home, recovery and therapy will begin.
